Marine Plumbing and Electrics for Boatbuilders

Aimed at our own boatbuilding students this course is designed to equip them to install and maintain simple systems and to understand some of the requirements of the specialist marine electrician or plumber who might work along side them on a project.

Caulking

Learn how to caulk a boat using caulking cotton and Oakum. How to pay up the seams with putty and mastics and the techniques of pitching a deck. A practical course, with no assumptions on previous experience

Build Your Own Boat

This course gives the beginner or more advanced student a chance to build a boat of their choice (subject to certain criteria). No previous knowledge is assumed and all skills given will be directed towards achieving the successful outcome of the project.

Advanced Joinery and Furniture Construction

From Basic joinery to advanced techniques, this course will give students the skills and confidence to start designing and building their own furniture.

Basic Small Boatbuilding Course

This course gives the fundamental skills necessary for the construction of basic small craft.
