Access to Higher Education Diploma Literature, History and Social Sciences
This course is particularly for those who would like a 'Second Chance' in education. No formal entry requirements needed. Students gain a qualification which is equivalent to A levels, allowing those who wish to do so to apply for a degree course in subject areas such as History, Teacher Training, Social Work, Social Science, Law, Business Management and Probation. English Literature, Social History and Sociology are all studied in addition to study skills, personal and career development and introductory IT.
Full-time day: 2 evenings per week.
Full-time evening: 2 evenings per week plus occasional Saturday morning workshops
There are no formal entry requirements. Applicants will be invited to an informal interview where they can find out more about the course from tutors and decide if the course is suitable for them. We will work with all learners in their first six weeks at College to place them on the appropriate programme that best meets their individual needs and best ensures their success.
