Change to so many is something that is feared, and yet the harsh reality is that the world is constantly changing through the process of Evolution. Despite its necessity, change can be an uneasy process for most, none more so than the ones who need to bring it about. Some Managers take quite a bloody approach forcing through “New Ways” that in the short-term achieve a different state, but without buy-in more often return to the “Way we used to do it” or worse still “A step backwards”. Focusing on Change Management techniques, this module will help to build confidence for those in the front line and ensure a more sustainable change is achieved. Key Learning Points A step by step process to bring about Change is the main theme through this training, beginning with a look at different change situations and why they happened. A series of small exercises will be used to help explain how to bring about change and why each of the 10 steps is so crucial in ensuring a successful, sustained outcome. You can expect to be This session takes an interactive approach to looking at change and why it is so easy to get it right and wrong. Working in groups a 10 stage process is explored using a series of scenarios with each group feeding back their learnings from the exercise. No doubt every group will have a different answer and so begins the debate of managing change. Preparing for the session As part of this module you will be provided with some Management Text on Leadership to read prior to the session. You should use the text to broaden your knowledge and participate in debate during the session.
