Basic Book Keeping (Evening)
This course runs termly and is ideal if you are looking for a first qualification in book-keeping and accounts. The exam may be taken as a single subject as a foundation for you to progress furher in book-keeping.
No formal qualifications, but sufficient capability in literacy and numeracy is required.
It is possible to progress to a degree such as the BA Hons Inclusive Practice in Education or a higher degree eg MA Learning and Teaching. When teaching in the sector those achieving the DTLLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector) should engage in professional formation and acquire QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) through the IfL (Institute for Learning).
This will be a useful adddition to your CV and welcomed by employers in a very wide range of settings. It will also enhance your efficiency if you are self-employed and doing your own accounts.
