Summary: 

This practical course is ideal for school-leavers who are interested in a career in environmental science, food technology, forensic science, quality control and research, analytical science or education. You will develop your skills and interest in science and learn practical skills as well as the related theory.

Entry requirements: 

4 GCSEs at grades D or above or other Level 1 qualification preferably at merit.

• Chemistry and physics
• Scientific principles
• Science and the world of work

• Medical science
• Environmental science
• Anatomy and physiology

After the course: 

Once you have completed this course you can progress on to a Level 3 qualification, such as a BTEC National in Applied Science, Forensic Science, Medical Science, Health Studies, IT, Electronics or Engineering.
