This course is for you if you are interested in gaining a broad introduction to the media and want to work within TV, publishing or radio. This route is ideal if you do not have 5 GCSEs at grade A-C but would like to study for the BTEC National next year.

Entry requirements:
4 GCSEs at grade D or above or other Level 1 qualification preferably at merit.

You will study modules in:
• Understanding media industries and audiences
• Advertising
• Video production
• Photography
• Audio production
• Print production
After the course:
You can progress onto a BTEC National in a media related subject, and then into careers including media, production, journalism or onto further study at university in subjects such as photography, journalism, film making, media and practical production.
