BTEC First in Perfoming Arts (Acting)
This course is for you if you have a strong desire to develop performance skills in order to follow a route that could lead to study at a higher level and on to a career within the performing arts industry. You will be a person who is prepared to work long and unsociable hours and strive to succeed.
4 GCSEs at grade D or above or other Level 1 qualification preferably at merit. You will also need to come along for an audition before starting this course. You will also need to be available for evening rehearsals and performances throughout this course.
Modules include:
• Production processes
• Acting and dance performance projects
• Acting and dance techniques
• Performing arts business
If you pass the course at merit level, you can then apply to progress to a BTEC National in your chosen subject area e.g. acting, dance or technical theatre.
