The course has been created to provide an awareness of key environmental concepts and an introduction to Environmental Management Systems.

It will help any employee, self employed sole trader, or small business owner have a good intro to understand what environmental aspects and impacts are on a business and the wider environment, and how an employee can contribute towards improved environmental perform-ance. A “must” for changing attitudes and culture within a business.

The qualification will enable successful candidates to understand and put into practice the following learning outcomes:
* Identify primary local & global environmental impacts of their organisation
* Understand the key terms and definitions of pollution
* Learn basic principles, key concepts and importance of Environmental Law
* Identify the link between their jobs and a range of Environmental Impacts
* Understand the business benefits of adopting an environmental management system
* Identify key issues related to energy use and carbon management, waste minimisation, water use, pollution and emergency planning
