Summary: 

This course is ideal if you are interested in a career as an electrician. You will spend time in a simulated working environment and will need to be physically fit and not afraid of working at heights. This course adopts a balanced bias to practical and theoretical elements of the programme to demonstrate your expertise in productively completing the qualification outcomes. You will demonstrate competence by completing practical activities and theoretical activities.

Entry requirements: 

4 GCSEs at grade D or above or other Level 1 qualification preferably at merit and preferably GCSEs at grade D or above in maths and science or completion of the Level 2 Electrical Installations Practices and Performances course.

Full Description: 

Units covered will be: Maintenance of electrical and electronic components; Electronic circuit construction; Electrical and Mechanical science.

After the course: 

You will be able to work in the electrical industry and also continue training towards the Level 3 qualification which is required to become an electrician.
