Module Content Session 1 Power of Positive Thinking Presentation situations Key presentation techniques Session 2 Basics in PowerPoint PowerPoint practice Presentation practice Key Learning Points This module is run over two sessions to allow enough time to focus on presentation techniques and effectively using PowerPoint. The first session focuses firstly on the Presentation side of delivering your message, and how best to get your message across in different forums. The second session is predominately hands on keyboards with each participant being given the opportunity to learn the basics in PowerPoint sufficient to give a simple presentation. You can expect to be Given some many people fear standing in front of a group you can expect this module to be full of fun and games to get the best out of the sessions. In the first session you can expect a highly interactive content working in groups and individually. Very little of this first session is classroom based so expect to be on your feet. The second session is a combination of PC work and presentation. Most of the session is dedicated to using PowerPoint. The remainder is your chance to combine presentation techniques from the first session with your own PowerPoint presentation. Preparing for the session If you ever presented to a group or set of individuals before it would be good to bring along your thoughts and experiences for the rest of the group to hear. If you have every used PowerPoint before and struggled with some of the functionality it would be good to bring some examples, just in case they aren’t covered during the session.
