In line with Recommendation 17 of HM Treasury's 2002 cross-cutting review, the site aims to provide 'a common point of access to Government grant funding for the VCS'.

What will my learning cost?  

Learning always costs something, whether you're planning to do a full-time, part-time or self-study course. You might have to pay course fees and budget so you've got enough money to live on. Full-time courses will probably affect your finances the most.

Train to Gain - Funding Support

Train to Gain is the national skills service that supports employers of all sizes and in all sectors to improve the skills of their employees as a route to improving their business performance. 

 

Beyond 2010 - 70% Funding Support

Beyond 2010 is a training grant programme funded by the European Social Fund and the East of England Development Agency and managed by Essex County Council.

EEEGR have been selected as the partners to represent the Energy industry, encompassing all businesses who directly operate in any area of the energy supply chain; from extraction and manufacturing to installation.

Professional and Career Development Loans

A Professional and Career Development Loan could help you pay for learning that enhances your job skills or career prospects. It’s a bank loan, so you’ll have to pay it back once you’ve left your course. However, you don’t pay interest for the period when you’re in learning.

Norfolk Unites - Funding

Norfolk Unites' funding webpage collates all national, regional and county funding and partnership information especially relevant for the Norfolk voluntary and community sector, though also including organisations of all sectors in terms of cross sector partnership opportunities/funding applications.

Learning Champions

Learning Champions is a free project giving your organisation the opportunity to select a member of staff to become your in-house source of advice on training, development and funding. The project is fully funded and open to small and medium sized organisations with up to 250 employees. There are only a limited amount of places to take part in this project.

2. What do I need to pay for?

Funding for Leadership and Management Training

  • Are you a company's director/senior manager or do you lead a charity, voluntary or not for profit organisation?
  • Is your organisation based in the East of England?
  • Do you employ between 5 - 249 staff or volunteers?

Fifty Plus In-work Training Grant

If you’re starting a new job at 50 or over, you may be able to get help with work-related training costs through the Fifty Plus In-work Training Grant. You’ll need to meet certain conditions to get the grant – check whether you qualify before signing up for training.
